Wee man returns with big intentions

Julian Dismore, who introduced himself to the Club last season with a half century on his debut, is poised to make a dramatic return this summer after a spell with the Rajasthan Royals at the IPL.

Club President, Jack McGill, said he was delighted to welcome back the diminutive batsman: "It's a huge bonus to bring someone into the team with the kind of international pedigree that only comes by drinking with the best in the world. We just hope that a night out with Peter Mellis can prove as exciting as a night out with Sreesanth."

Julian, who will be working at MentornTV with Tom Cara until November, is expected to join up with the squad in early June. Given the frailty of the BBC batting, he may thrown in at the deep end sooner than he thinks.

Reflecting upon his imminent return, Dismore said, "'The Pink City' of Jaipur holds some wonderful memories for me, but the pink cap of David Holmes is a constant beacon in my life. Trading the glamour of the IPL for a damp night at Glasgow Green is a small price to pay for contributing to the success of this club."
