Meet the Team

Quick in the outfield, a safe pair of hands, no slouch with the bat, and despite his abundance of extras – and really, there are lots – Gregor gets pace, swing, bounce off any track.

Hampered by chronic injury throughout 2011, but maybe a chance of a comeback in late summer.

“Jockey”

The world’s smallest cricketer packed quite a punch during the 2011 season with a debut half century. Opportunities to recreate the magic proved limited in a rain-affected season, but we hope for a return to the fold soon.

“Sheila”
bat RHB bowl Right-arm medium

Still a student, but well known to many of the team as a budding cricket cameraman. Has pedigree from his weekend club, Stirling County, and being an Aussie crim, so big things will be expected in his first season at Titwood.

“Slider”
bat RHB bowl Left-arm filth

A hard-working and entertaining player whose enthusiasm seems to grow every year, 'Slider' captured a regular place in the team in 2010 and took full advantage.

Living up to the club motto, Michael has proven he can take wickets with a technique at times unreadable, but consistency is ever the key.

“Holmesy/Pinky/Dotaman/The Chinook”
(club captain)
bat RHB bowl Right-arm hand grenades

The skipper is a stylish opening batsman, who likes to start slow and continue in much the same vein. Usually the cornerstone of any good innings, Holmesy is, by some margin, the club's leading runs-scorer.

Very useful in the field and never afraid to put his body on the line for the team, as frequent injuries prove.

Come on, Pinky, get a move on!
